About the Studio
RDN Studio (Research · Design · Network) is an innovative architecture and consultancy practice founded in 2025 in London by Dr. Elif Erdine. Working at the intersection of material systems, emerging design intelligence, and contemporary construction technologies, the studio develops research-led design approaches that translate into robust, realised architectural projects.
The name reflects the studio’s core framework: Research as a driver of inquiry, Design as a spatial and material practice, and Network as a collaborative and interdisciplinary mode of operation. RDN Studio combines computational processes with a deep understanding of fabrication, construction, and real-world constraints. Operating across multiple scales, from architectural design and built work to research-driven installations and experimental systems, the practice emphasises feasibility, sustainability, and spatial quality, bridging advanced design research with applied architectural outcomes.
Dr. Elif Erdine
Principal
Dr. Elif Erdine is an architect, designer, and researcher with a background spanning architectural practice, computational design, and advanced fabrication. She graduated with High Honours from Istanbul Technical University, Faculty of Architecture, and completed her Master’s degree at the Architectural Association Design Research Lab (AA DRL), followed by a PhD in Design at the Architectural Association.
She worked at Zaha Hadid Architects between 2006 and 2010 and later directed several AA Visiting School programmes, including AA Istanbul Visiting School and AA Summer DLAB. From 2019 to 2025, she served as Head of the Emergent Technologies and Design (EmTech) Postgraduate Programme at the Architectural Association.
Her work focuses on material- and technology-driven design, integrating algorithmic generative processes with contemporary fabrication methods, and translating research-led approaches into realised architectural projects.
Berke Debensason
Partner
Berke Debensason is an architect and technology entrepreneur. He graduated from Istanbul Technical University, Faculty of Architecture. As the founder of DE.X Architecture Studio, he has led and delivered a wide range of architectural projects, including hotels, luxury residential developments, and large-scale housing schemes.
His portfolio includes realised projects such as Miamai Hotel, HİM Evleri, and Bodrum Residences, reflecting extensive experience in the design and delivery of built work across different scales and typologies.
In 2019, he relocated to London, where he founded Teledomica (https://www.teledomica.com/), a technology-driven platform exploring the intersection of architecture, design, and mixed reality. His work focuses on bridging architectural practice with emerging digital technologies, expanding how spatial design is conceived, experienced, and communicated.
